In 2016, the European Social Survey conducted a multi-country survey about a variety of social topics. In this question, they asked the respondents if they would feel ashamed if a close family member was a gay man or lesbian. Equaldex categorizes "Agree"/"Strongly Agree" as "Ashamed" and "Disagree"/"Strongly Disagree" as "Not Ashamed."
