Proud To Be Us Laos is the country's first LGBTQ organization. Their main goals are:
1. Support people with sexual and gender diversity (LGBTIQ) to
participate in national development affairs and be the spokesperson/
representative of people of sexual and gender diversity in the Lao PDR in order
to work with the government to address issues related to this community.
2. Promote and disseminate information about people of sexual and gender
diversity (LGBTIQ) for social acceptance and understanding to alleviate stigma &
discrimination in order to gain access to social services.
3. Enable a positive environment for people of sexual and gender diversity
(LGBTIQ) to obtain equal opportunity without social prejudice and acquire
a platform to contribute to the national development.
