GAYa NUSANTARA is an organization in Indonesia that is open and proud of its identity and does not question the diversity of sex, gender and sexuality as well as other backgrounds. This organization was founded in 1987 by Dede Oetomo as an association to fight for LGBTIQ rights in Indonesia. This organization was updated to become the foundation of GAYa NUSANTARA in 27th Juni 2012 through formal recognition from the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham)
