  • Status is not correct "All peaple that have "risk sexual behaviros" can not donate blood, eterosexual too. It is done in order to avoid to infect througth the blood other peaple. It is linked of the number of partners and the use of condom, it isn't link to the sex of the partners. If I am heterosexual and I do sex with several women without condom I can not donate blood. If I am lesbian I can donate. If I am omosexual and I have only a partner I can. If I am omosexual with several partner but I use condom I can. It a medical reason doesn't linked with the sexual orientation. Only the people low risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases heterosexuls and LGBT oriented."

  • Status is not correct "I have donated blood in Italy for about 5 years now. They have recently (January 8, 2016) changed the form you have to enter before donating. The new form was introduced on DM 02/11/2015 G.U. N°300, 28/12/2015: http://www.avis.it/userfiles/file/GU%20SG%20n_300%20del%2028-12-2015_SO_069%20(1).pdf Government source: http://www.gazzettaufficiale.it/eli/id/2015/12/28/15A09709/sg As you can read at page 24 (or page 28/112 of the pdf), point 5.8: The line reads (my translation): “Since the last donation or in any case since four months ago, did you have heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual sexual relationships (genitals, oral, anal relationships):” Therefore, no distinction is made between heterosexual sex or homosexual sex, or any other. The following questions are asked based on concerns about one-night-stands, orgies, drug addicted partners, etc. These situations apply both to heterosexuals and homosexuals, or any other sexual orientation. There is also no deferral period specific to MSMs. In fact, if the criteria that people of any sexual orientation have to follow will be passed, in no way one’s sexual orientation will come up based on the current procedure (previously that was not the case). Therefore, I believe you should change the status of BLOOD DONATIONS BY MSMS IN ITALY to LEGAL, as it is in fact."
