| Description | Several cantons have passed bans on conversion therapy while others have yet to take any action. At the federal level, however, the presence of a ban is less clear. In 2016 the National Council stated that conversion therapy and similar practices would go against the "loi sur les professions de la psychologie" (Psychological Professions Act) and should therefore be banned however the enforcement of this is seemingly non-existent. |

| Description | On May 2, 2023 Neuchâtel banned conversion therapy. Valais Canton banned conversion therapy through the Cantonal parliament on the 16th of May 2024. Neuchâtel and Valais are cantons of Switzerland, of which there are 26. In the other 24 member states of the Swiss Confederation, conversion therapy remains legal.
