| Description | On December 7th, 2019, The Massachusetts Medical Society endorsed a resolution affirming the principle that surgical procedures on intersex children should be postponed until they reach an age of autonomy, capable of making such determinations themselves. Medical and surgical interventions on intersex infants are not allowed, except during emergency circumstances where it is necessary. |

- Status is not correct "This is not a full ban, nor any ban at the level of state government. This is one medical organization supporting a non-binding resolution within just that organization that says, on principle, intersex people should be supported. https://www.hrw.org/news/2019/12/13/massachusetts-medical-society-supports-intersex-rights So the status should still be no ban."
