Due to Executive Order 14168 made on January 20, 2025, you can no longer change your gender marker on state or federal IDs. This includes Texas birth certificates, Texas driver's licenses and state IDs, social security cards, and U.S. passports. Additionally, on March 14, 2025, the Texas Attorney General issued Opinion KP-0489. In the opinion of the Attorney General, district courts do not have the authority to order state agencies to change a person’s sex on driver’s licenses or birth certificates."
