Project 515 was founded in 2006 with a single, achievable mission to create a state where marriage laws did not discriminate against LGBT persons. Minnesota had at least 515 laws which discriminated against same-sex couple surrounding the freedom to marry. With the passage of marriage in May of 2013, Project 515 declared mission complete and closed its doors on June 30, 2014.
