DescriptionSince the 1990s, lesbian, gay and bisexual people are not banned from military service and discrimination against them is officially forbidden. However, openly gay personnel would face social difficulty, especially for higher ranks, as for "commanding staff - officers and high-ranking NCOs - admitting to same-sex attraction would mean losing respect - qualities without which you simply cannot be a commander".Since the 1990s, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (only formally) people are not banned from military service and discrimination against them is officially forbidden.

  • Status is not correct "transgender people are banned from military i think"
  • Other "Openly transgender people, who have a diagnosis, can not serve in the millitary even during a war. Ass well as intersex people. I know that when you are 19 you are required to go to the millitary to get a ranking a, b, c, d… if you can serve in the millitary or do you have to serve during a war. People with a diagnosis of gender dysphoria get the worst category and are banned from serving even during a war"
