Description | In 1997, Serbia adopted the ICD-10 classification, which contains codes for diagnosing transsexualism in adulthood and childhood, which authorize the initiation of medical transition. According to the Family Law from 2005, persons who have reached the age of 15 are given the right to give consent to undergo a medical procedure (Article 62). However, gender reassignment surgeries are only available to adults. |
