  • Status is not correct "Status : Legal Date : 2019 Gender affirming care is legal in India and is protected by the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019. People in India can undergo gender reassignment surgeries or any procedure that allows them to change their gender. It’s legal as people still need to undergo this surgeries in order to change their legal gender in India.
