- Status is not correct "The law was fully rejected by the parliament. There is no recognition of same-sex civil unions, but same-sex can get recognised as families through a court ruling, as at least 30 families have done, although this ruling is only declarative and has no effect on your rights as a couple because that status doesn't grant you anything and is just a declarative label."

- Status is not correct "Civil law was not adapted in the final parliamentary voting. And on 15.12.2022. next Parlamentry voted against taking it over from the last session thus Latvia has not adopted civil union law or legalised same-sex partnerships."
- Newer law has been passed "Same-sex relationships are still unrecognized in Latvia. Law about civil union did not pass through 3rd (final) reading in order for civil union to become legal."
- Status is not correct "There has not been a law passed that recognizes civil unions in Latvia. In fact, the judicial committee of the current parliament voted against the continuation of its consideration in the parliament on the 6th of December 2022.
