That being said, a single man is usually legally allowed to adopt a child, but the same isn’t true for a single woman. Additionally, the legal status of adoption depends on an individual’s religion since the applicable laws are different between Christians and Muslims; adoption is illegal in Islam, while it is strictly regulated within Christian communities."
